All people, regardless of their abilities, should have the appropriate supports to allow them to live and function independently in their community. At Community Living Glengarry, we focus on quality of life and assisting people in achieving their personal goals and dreams.
The support we provide is tailored to each person’s unique needs, abilities, desires and goals as reflected in their life plan.
Our services include:
- Financial planning and budgeting
- Medical coordination
- Meal planning and preparation
- Apartment management, including tenant-landlord issues
- Organizing social and recreational activities
- Support for the involvement of friends and family
- Support in exercising one’s rights
Although all there are currently no vacant funded space, people can ask to be added to the waiting list, which is managed by Developmental Services Ontario (DSO). Those who are considering supported independent living can contact us to learn more about eligibility and the application process.
